a dying e-mail

A really interesting post about the (potential) impending death of e-mail in favor of more instantaneous means of communication that are more conversational and less structured. The usual suspects are mentioned: facebook, myspace, AIM, text messaging and mobile messaging. I agree that young people have little use for e-mail it seems. E-mails to my sister disappear into the void. What remains to be seen is how the business world adapts these new kinds of communication to fit the needs of the enterprise.
